KumKum is a luxury Indian bridal and party-wear brand.

Inspired by traditional Indian handicrafts and weaves, KumKum was established as a premiere fashion label for contemporary design and clothing in 1994 by Kumkum Sharma.

Kumkum grew up in the heartland of Uttar Pradesh, and lived across India including the vibrant Deccan, Maratha and Malabar coasts before dropping anchor in Delhi. As a trained Textile Designer, she was inspired to blend various styles and traditions from different regions in India into a modern contemporary cast. This led to the creation of KumKum as a design house and fashion label specialising in Indian ethnic bridal wear for women in SouthAsia, UK and United States.

In 1999 her daughter Sakshi, armed with a diploma in Fashion Design from Pearl Academy Delhi, joined Kumkum and brought in fresh ideas of a new generation - reflecting traditions of craftsmanship in a contemporary design vocabulary.

In 2014 Sakshi moved to England, and subsequently launched KumKum London as an exclusive fashion service for the British Indian diaspora, in the premium ethnic occassion wear catagory. With an increasing loyal clientele, KumKum London has expanded into Menswear to ensure that their lovely ladies are accompanied by equally well outfitted gentlemen. With its own dedicated production workshop in Delhi, KumKum is characterised by distinctive use of colours, quality of fabrics, intricate embroideries and gloriously rich Indian aesthetic. KumKum sources the finest fabrics and craftsmanship from across the country thereby reviving great textile traditions, developing talent and bridging access to new markets to artisans.

The KumKum London studio is located in Wimbledon in SouthWest London and is a by appointment fashion service.
